Interpersonal Communication and Social Interaction - ICSI Conference

The 2011 Interpersonal Communication and Social Interaction (ICSI) Section Conference of the European Communication Research and Education Association (ECREA) will be hosted by the School of Communication, University of Ulster. It will take place in Belfast, Northern Ireland, from 8-9 Sept 2011.

The aim of the Conference is to draw together scholars and practitioners from a variety of disciplines working in the field of interpersonal communication and social interaction.

ECREA’s ICSI section now welcomes the submission of original proposals for unpublished papers on one of the following themes:
  • face-to-face relationships
  • mediated contexts
  • conflict situations
  • organisational and professional contexts
  • health and care contexts
  • intercultural contexts
  • language and social interaction
Anyone wishing to propose a paper for consideration should submit an Abstract in English to the planning committee by sending an e-mail attachment to icsiabstracts@ulster.ac.uk before 31 March 2011. Notification of acceptance will be sent by 31 May 2011.

Format of Abstracts
Abstracts (c. 300 words excluding any reference list) should be prepared for blind refereeing as a Word file.

Select one of the Conference themes and cite this before the title of your paper.

Include your surname and ICSI Abstract in the subject entry of your email message.

No name or designation should appear on the Abstract.
